Last Sunday I ran the Raheny 5 mile race, it was tough!! Pretty scared now about the half marathon in April.
The course was different this year to other years due to roadworks so we got to run through a bit of the park. The park was hard, we had to run up a main road in the park and turn. This section was about 1.5kms and you had to run up and turn back. The whole way up I couldn’t see the turn back and I think that made it harder.
This was my second time running this race and I was 1 minute quicker this year 😆 I know that isn’t much of an improvement in a year but it was also my personal record for running 5 miles, 52.09 😆.
The goodie bag from this run is crazy and definitely need to run loads more before I even thinking of eating all of this!!
They also give out plaques instead of medals which I love as I never know what to do with my medals after races. Has anybody got any ideas?
