So, I planned on getting this blog finished and posted last night but the electricity went, and I only had 19% battery left in my phone it was a tough couple of hours 🙂 I went to the Irish Beauty Show on Sunday and it was brilliant. I don’t work in the beauty industry but went as a blogger to see what it was about…I bought a few bits 🙂
And got a lot of leaflets!!!
The show was on for two days and there was a number of masterclasses taking place throughout the day and great discounts!! I got there early on Sunday about 10 and had to queue for a while to get in. When I got in it was busy but not hectic. Definitely better then I expected, thought it would be more for people who owned salons and wanted to buy stock, etc. I picked up a few Blank Canvas makeup brushes and at this stage you could get near the stand, it was busy but nothing like an hour later when it was mental!
I got some more Cocoa Brown tan, I got the Cocoa Brown tan in the dark shade as I find the normal colour perfect for everyday but like it a bit darker for nights out. You can do more than one layer of the Cocoa Brown tan to build up your colour as well. I also got the Lovely Legs tan and can’t wait to try it.
I also bought the Aurora Band night curler, the girls at the stand had lovely curls in their hair and it gives bouncy curls half way down. I still have to try it but will definitely do a review when I do, my hair might be a bit short for it but will try it or wait till it grows a bit more.
My other purchase was a gift for my mam for Mother’s Day so I will keep that quiet for now but hope she loves it!
I got talking to a few Irish brands at the show, one was Skinician, they have a range of different skincare products for different skin types. I got some samples from them that I am excited to try, check them out on http://www.skinician.com. I also got talking to Powder ‘n’ Pout, they are also an Irish company based in Carndonagh, Donegal. They have amazing makeup brushes and use the same hair as MAC. I was broke at this stage as I wasn’t expecting to be able to buy much at the show but I definitely want to try their brushes. Think I am turning into a makeup brush addict!!
