Who doesn’t love coming home to parcels with their names on them??

I am not a huge online shopper as I find that I am quite fussy with clothes and fit, etc.  My products this week are not clothes (that’s next week 🙂 ).

I have mentioned before on my Instagram page that I buy jewellery on eBay, it is great for getting something a bit different and also for a fraction of the price that the high street shops charge.  Here is three pieces I received this week and love!

Love this and €3.95!

So dressy and only €3.67

So cute love it, €3.67

Love these, and I need to order more jewellery this week 🙂 For anybody who is interested in buying jewellery on eBay, I have on a few occasions not received the items.  Any rings that I have bought I always got them but with necklaces they are a bit messier, I ordered 4 in total and only received 2.  However, I have never had any issue with getting a refund or the seller will offer to send it out again.  I generally purchase my jewellery from China, postage is free.  A lot of the other countries charge for postage, and charge crazy money for it.  Be prepared to wait about 4 weeks though for packages from China.

Any of the rings that I have purchased are a metal coated in gold, silver, or rose gold.  The coating eventually wears off, but I do wear these rings on a daily basis and I get about two months out of them before they start to wear.

My next purchase were new Blank Canvas makeup brushes from Cloud 10 Beauty,  I love these brushes and they are great price and last!!  I already have a few basic makeup brushes and I am trying to expand my collection.  I seriously need to buy storage for my makeup as well 🙂  I bought 3 brushes, F15 tapered contour brush, E35 flat shader and the E37 pencil brush.

The F15 brush can be used for contouring, sculpting, blending and highlighting.  The E35 is for placing and shading of eye-shadow.  The E37 is used on the lash line.  My next purchase is definitely a foundation brush!

Delivery with Cloud 10 Beauty is free for purchases over €15 in Ireland and the UK, and free worldwide delivery over €50.  They also offer free samples with purchases, and you get to pick which sample you want.  The more you spend the more samples you get and the samples are very good!  I got the Nuxe Aroma-Perfection Unclogging Thermo Active Mask and I can’t wait to try it out.  I do try and support Irish companies as much as possible, check them out on http://www.cloud10beauty.com .

So, I started running in October 2014, hopefully my blog can help motivate others to start as well and give them the motivation to keep going 🙂 . To keep myself motivated I try and sign up for runs every few weeks, the second I see or hear of one I sign up for it before I even give myself the chance to think if I am able for it!

My first run was the Run in the Dark in Dublin for the Mark Pollock Trust on Wednesday 12th November, a 5km route through the city at night time.  I was pretty nervous because I had about three weeks training from nothing and was only running a route of 3km.  The run was great, all the people running around is great motivation to keep going and not wanting to stop and walk!  I was very proud and completed the run in about 35mins 30seconds 🙂 The 2015 run information is already available http://www.runinthedark.org , this run happens all over the world on the same day!

My next run was more of a challenge, the Clontarf 5mile on the 29th November.  Don’t know why I signed up for it and I did struggle, but the excitement of finishing after the run was amazing!! I was so happy, I ran a majority of the course and took a few small about 30second walking breaks to get my breath back.  My time was 55mins 35seconds, and I was in shock, thought I would be over an hour 🙂  I had hoped I could do it in under an hour but never expected to do it!

My next run was the Santa Dash 5km in Dublin for Down Syndrome Ireland.  This was a fun run and had to dress up as Santa Claus and run on the beach, the drive up was hilarious and children were staring into the car in shock when they saw two Santa’s in the car!  It was great fun, freezing but worth it.  I have to admit I struggled on this run and finished in 33mins 38secs, this is still better then my last 5km so I was pretty happy 😀 The medals for this run are amazing, there was a choice of four and I picked the pudding medal that plays a Christmas song!

The state of me ha ha!!!

My dad got me this garmin forerunner10 watch for Christmas, it is amazing and brilliant for working on my time! I will do a seperate review on it as it has so many different options:

My latest run was the Axa 5mile run in Raheny, Dublin.  All I can say is this is a brilliant run and organised amazingly well.  The route is one big loop of the park and is a mixture of downhill and uphill.  My dad also ran but I wasn’t even aiming to compete with him, he is a multiple marathon and ultra marathon runner!  I was sick with tonsillitis before this run, so I my main aim was to run as much as I could and forget about the time, my training was virtually non-existent.  But I managed to complete it in a new record time of 52mins 58secs!!! I was over the moon and they give a serious goodie bag at this run!

My next run is on in a few weeks and it is a 10km route. I am going to stop increasing my distances after this one and start aiming to increase my times for runs between 5km and 10km. I don’t do as much training as I should, I aim to go every second night but that doesn’t always go to plan.  Never punish yourself if you don’t go though, because that is when running turns into a chore and not something you enjoy!

Anybody else starting out running and have advice?  Always set a goal to encourage yourself 🙂

I really hope everybody had a great Valentine’s weekend, whether your in a relationship or single, Valentine’s day is about spending your time with people that you love.  Did anybody go and see Fifty Shades of Grey?  If so, comment below and let me know what you think, still trying to decide if I want to see it!!

I had a great weekend, my boyfriend was away with work for two weeks and came home on Saturday 🙂 We had a very lazy day (he did come home at 5am) so nice catching up though!  I got a lovely surprise flower delivery when I got home from work on Friday, I really wasn’t expecting it!! The flowers are from http://www.madflowers.com and they still look great a few days later 🙂

Roses from Madflowers!

We had a very romantic breakfast 😛 Love my glass cups, and ignore the rest of the junk on the table, even the Christmas tree ha ha.

Full Irish so good :)

On Sunday my boyfriend had organised a surprise as my present, and did a very good job of keeping it secret until about 4.30pm when I was like I need to know!! What am I going to wear??  My surprise was Afternoon Tea in the Shelbourne hotel 😀 😀 http://www.shelbournedining.ie I have been talking about it for months (years) and it was as good as I was expecting! Here are a few pics, including what I wore:

The afternoon tea was amazing!! The staff were really friendly and totally catered for my almond allergy, they questioned how severe it was and kept my boyfriends deserts separate from mine. ( My allergy is not severe so they were able to serve my boyfriend almond based cakes).  So in case you are wondering, we had chocolate and praline gateau, white chocolate and strawberry lemon fool, a chocolate mousse cake, and a chocolate and orange macaroon.  They made me a raspberry panna cotta to replace the macaroon which was amazing!  The atmosphere was really relaxing and not rushed at all.  I was actually surprised that they do a 6pm sitting but it was a perfect time for us.

Definitely have to do a lot of running this week after that weekend!!  What did everybody get up to for their weekend?

Pippa’s Fashion Factory took place in the Powerscourt Hotel on the 31st January.  Myself, my mam and my sister got tickets for this for Christmas and to treat ourselves even more we stayed in the hotel the night before 🙂 . I will do a separate blog on that because there is just too much to say!!

The following morning we were up early for breakfast and to get ready for the day!  Here is a picture of my outfit for the day (this was taken that night at home)

The day started with a makeup demonstration by Tara O’Farrell, she showed us how to do a day look and then went on to change this look with a few more steps to a night time look.  She used a variety of brands and I now have a huge list of everything I need to buy, ha ha :D.  Pippa then came on stage to go through a selection of skincare products that she uses and gave us a step by step guide to each.  This section was brilliant and really made me aware of how I seriously need to start looking after my skin.

We then had a break for an hour and had afternoon tea and a Bellini.  Hagan Daaz even came to give everybody small tubs, yum it was amazing.  The afternoon tea and bellini was amazing but didn’t expect any less from the Powerscourt hotel.

Bellini!!

Cloud 10 beauty set up a table outside during the hour break and had a huge selection of products available to buy.

After the break there was a fashion show, the clothes were amazing and different styles for all ages.  The clothes were amazing and I was dreaming of a bigger wardrobe 😛 Here is a few photos of some of the outfits, the clothes were from River Island, Coast, Warehouse, Oasis.

The last section of the day was all about hair!  Tori Keane came in to show us how to curl hair, how to do a stylish ponytail.  She also talked to us about products etc that people had queries on.

And, not to forget the goodie bag!! We got so much stuff, blank canvas cosmetics brush, clarins lipgloss, glossybox voucher, gelish nail money off voucher, and a few other little surprises 🙂

Pippa is holding more days around Ireland and it is definitely worth the money.  The fashion factory days all take place in gorgeous hotels and you get so much valuable information.  I will definitely go again!!

What I am about!

So, I decided to start blogging in an attempt to motivate myself into doing more exercise.  My main blog at the moment is my Instagram page Runningfashblog, where I update on a daily basis snapshots of my day. These pictures can be a bit random, a mixture of workout stats, outfits I have worn, clothes I NEED to buy and a bit of beauty.

I started running in October 2014 and I enjoy it some days and hate it other days, I have my self convinced that once I get fitter I will love it ha ha!!  Hopefully that is true, I am also doing a little bit of yoga the nights that I don’t go running from youtube videos.  Hopefully my Instagram page and blog will motivate others aswell, and I would love for people to hashtag their workouts with #runningfashblog.

I am like most girls shopping mad, my boyfriend laughs at me the whole time.  I am like I will be home straight after work and I arrive in the door two hours later with bags 😀 . My poor bank account really doesn’t appreciate the blogging, because I need new clothes to keep it updated!  I will use any excuse for shopping 🙂

I will try and blog as much as possible, I am not sure how much beauty related posts yet that I will have as when it comes to makeup, I love buying it but I am not exactly sure if I use it right.

Sorry I tend to waffle a lot, get sidetracked and change the subject.  I really hope you enjoy reading my blog!
